Schaumburg, IL ― MISUMI USA, Inc., a subsidiary of MISUMI Corporation, part of MISUMI Group, Inc., will highlight two recently introduced Web services at the Design & Manufacturing Midwest show in Chicago, September 20-22.

Both online services were developed to facilitate the process of selecting, specifying and ordering a number of components the firm supplies to OEMs and designers of industrial machinery and factory automation equipment and systems. During the show, MISUMI product engineers will offer live demonstrations of both new services - the Modular Assembler, and AutomationMaterials.com - at Booth Number 2108.

Here is a snapshot of the new Web services:

AutomationMaterials.com is an easy-to-use resource designed to streamline and simplify selection, quoting and ordering of MISUMI's extensive line of Precision Machined Metal Plates used in the assembly of industrial machinery and factory automation systems. The precision-machined blank plates are available in over 30 different materials and can be ordered in sizes ranging from 20mm to 2,500mm, with dimensions configured to within 0.1mm. Prices are low, there is no minimum order requirement, and delivery is fast - most plates ship in just four days.

MISUMI's Modular Assembler Website provides fast, easy design of frequently used component combinations. The site groups together various functional parts frequently used in machine designs and offers them in conveniently packaged modules. This modular approach significantly reduces time and effort required to select and specify common sets of mechanical components, and offers customers fast 2D and 3D CAD downloads and Web ordering. About 46 modules are currently available for use in Rotary/Linear Motion, Positioning/Detecting, Retention, and Connection applications. Engineering, design assistance and technical support are readily available to users if needed.
