QUAN Targets Leading Robotics Innovators at Shanghai International Robot Show

Quantum is pursuing promising new robotics targets around the globe

HOUSTON--Emerging robotics company Quantum International Corp. (OTCBB: QUAN) is pursuing talks with leading robotics innovators in China after a company representative scouted new ideas at the Shanghai International Robot Show last week.

This event was put on to draw some of Asia's most advanced roboticists to China in order to promote emerging robotics breakthroughs in the world's top manufacturing market. According to Christine Wang, an analyst at Daiwa Capital Markets in Hong Kong, the value of the global industrial robot-system market is expected to double to $41 billion by 2020.

"It's no secret that Asia is a hotbed of robotics innovation," Federowicz said. "China is a manufacturing giant, and as wages rise, manufacturers there are turning to industrial robots. The top robotics minds in the world want a piece of that multi-billion-dollar market, and many of them presented their plans at the Shanghai show.

"Quantum International is working toward new potential partnerships to increase our business footprint in China, and this show proved a great introduction," he added.

Quantum is pursuing promising new robotics targets around the globe. The company has already signed a letter of intent and begun due diligence toward a definitive agreement with the Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) in Warsaw, Poland. Quantum is focused on aggressive growth as it competes alongside robotics companies including Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (NYSE: HMC), AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) and, potentially soon, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL).

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
