Over 60 world-leading technology, software and service providers to exhibit at 2015 event

Portland, Maine January 29, 2015

SPAR Point Group today announced that the International LiDAR Mapping Forum (ILMF) 2015 will open February 23 with a sold out exhibit floor and record number of new exhibitors. Over 60 leading hardware and software suppliers will exhibit at the 15th annual event, 18 of which are new to ILMF. "The sold out exhibit hall, along with the roster of new exhibiting companies, speaks to the importance of ILMF as a demonstration venue for LiDAR technology. Participating companies use the exhibit floor as a strategic component to the events high-level educational program," said Gregg Shapiro, ILMF Sales Manager. See the complete exhibitor list here.

ILMF, takes place February 23-25, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Denver in Denver, Colorado, and is the foremost technical conference and exhibition focused on data acquisition, fusion, processing and point clouds for airborne, terrestrial and underwater LiDAR used to support transport, urban modelling, coastal zone mapping, utility asset management and more. Exhibitors include hardware manufacturers, software providers, complementary sensor manufacturers, engineering services, service providers, data processing, GIS solutions and more.

Also new for 2015, "we have added a UAV pavilion and programming to arm delegates with insight into the emerging UAV/UAS market and the impact on aerial LiDAR and other remote sensing technologies," said Lisa Murray, ILMF Director. "We cannot ignore the emergence of UAVs in the aerial surveying and mapping space, when discussing latest advances." UAV experts including Don Weigel of Airware, Colin Snow of Drone Analyst, Brendan Schulman of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP and Jeff Cozart of University of Colorado, Denver will discuss the current legal and regulatory environment, considerations for incorporating UAVs into current workflows and predictions for the future. In addition, UAV exhibitors will be on-hand in the UAV pavilion and participating in a panel discussion on hardware, software and service options. Top manufacturers including RIEGL, Topcon, Trimble, Velodyne, AIBOTIX, senseFLY, DroneDeploy, Phoenix Aerial Systems, Aerial Data Systems and Altavian will showcase platforms and related systems on the exhibit floor.
