KC Robotics, Inc. Partakes in Summer Camp for Robotics Week

Industrial Robotics Company Happy to be Part of Primrose Schools Summer Camp Program

West Chester, OH- KC Robotics, Inc., an industrial robotics company, participated in Primrose School of West Chesters summer camp on July 20.

Primrose School of West Chesters summer camp included a week dedicated to "inventions and robotics." About 25 campers ages six through ten visited KC Robotics location for about an hour on the Monday morning of July 20.

First, children got a safety brief from KC Robotics technician Steve Tettenhorst. He was called "Safety Steve" for the day. Safety education is an important and necessary aspect of visiting a manufacturing company. Children received safety glasses to wear throughout their time at KC, along with candy and other KC Robotics, Inc. gear.

Children visited three "stations" during their time at KC Robotics. The first station was a series of short videos showing robots working and doing fun activities like dancing. An engineer and project leader, Greg Davis, explained how the robots are able to perform tasks.

At the second station, campers visited a robotic design engineer. Engineer Stephanie Marner explained the process of building robots on a computer before they are physically built.

The third station included actual robot action! Robot Technician Dwayne Smith and robotic expert Erica DeMott from KC Robotics were excited to show off a moving KUKA robot (while the campers stood behind a safety rope, of course).

KC Robotics small collaboration with a local school turned out to be a huge success. Many students showed interest in robotics and gave positive feedback. KC Robotics believes it has sparked some STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) interests in the minds of some of West Chesters brightest youths.

BitFlow Introduces 6th Generation Camera Link Frame Grabber: The Axion

BitFlow has offered a Camera Link frame grabbers for almost 15 years. This latest offering, our 6th generation combines the power of CoaXPress with the requirements of Camera Link 2.0. Enabling a single or two camera system to operate at up to 850 MB/S per camera, the Axion-CL family is the best choice for CL frame grabber. Like the Cyton-CXP frame grabber, the Axion-CL leverages features such as the new StreamSync system, a highly optimized DMA engine, and expanded I/O capabilities that provide unprecedented flexibility in routing. There are two options available; Axion 1xE & Axion 2xE. The Axion 1xE is compatible with one base, medium, full or 80-bit camera offering PoCL, Power over Camera Link, on both connectors. The Axion 2xE is compatible with two base, medium, full or 80-bit cameras offering PoCL on both connectors for both cameras. The Axion-CL is a culmination of the continuous improvements and updates BitFlow has made to Camera Link frame grabbers.
