MecklerMedia's RoboUniverse Conference & Expo in San Diego to Explore Robotics Applications in Agriculture, Cognitive Science, Drones, and Manufacturing & Logistics

RoboUniverse San Diego will take place at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California on December 14-16, 2015.

NEW YORK, Oct. 12, 2015 -- MecklerMedia Corporation (OTCQX: MECK) announced the agenda for RoboUniverse San Diego, which is organized around four primary themes - Agriculture, Cognitive Science, Drones, and Manufacturing & Logistics. The event takes place at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California on December 14-16, 2015.

The Agriculture Track at RoboUniverse San Diego explores innovation in farming practices, including big AG, specialty crops, and vineyards. Sessions will examine a new breed of connected smart farms enabled by robotics and technology innovation, and driven around efficiency, accuracy, big data, and automation. This track will include several practitioners and innovation leaders from Driscoll's, Grimmway Farms, and E&J Gallo Winery, amongst others.

Sessions in the Cognitive Science Track provide applications for building the "brains" of future robotic applications and involve emerging mathematical algorithms to not only solve common business problems, but also detect and predict future patterns. The Cognitive Science Track at RoboUniverse will explore research in AI, machine learning, deep learning, knowledge engines, neural networks, and more.

Sessions in the Drones or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Track aim to explore how one can develop and define a business based on drones; build and maintain your own drone; accessorize your drone; and understand current and future drone applications in action.

MecklerMedia also announced the Drone Zone at RoboUniverse San Diego, a dedicated drone demo area where organizations or inventors can demo their drones to clients or attendees.

RoboUniverse's Manufacturing & Logistics Track highlights the latest advances in collaborative robotics and mobile robots for manufacturing and materials handling. Sessions will explore how collaborative and mobile autonomous robots are changing how goods are produced and managed.

Additional tracks at RoboUniverse include Business & Investment, STEM Education, IoT & Robotics, and Healthcare. The full program can be found at robouniverse.com/san-diego.

Denso Robotics - Newest 6-axis VMB Series offers longer arm reach and higher load capacity

The new VMB series represent some of the newest members to our 6-axis family of robots. These high-performance, versatile units offer a longer arm reach and a higher load capacity than traditional models which make VMB an excellent solution for palletizing, packaging, and material handling. New features include greater air piping, valve and signal line options, as well as new programming options with state-of-the-art functions using our new WINCAPS Plus software. VMB offers an IP67 protection grade along with meeting ISO Class 5, which makes them suitable for electric parts, food manufacturing processes, and pharmaceutical and medical devices. With the addition of the new VMB large robots, all manufacturing processes can now be automated by DENSO Robotics.
