Novotechnik - New Robust High Accuracy Magnetic Encoder

Novotechnik U.S. introduces the Vert-X 51 Series of rotary magnetic encoders feature up to 16-bit resolution and repeatability to 0.1° – depending on model.

Southborough, MA -- Novotechnik U.S. introduces the Vert-X 51 Series of rotary magnetic encoders feature up to 16-bit resolution and repeatability to 0.1° - depending on model.

Measurement range of the Vert-X 51 Series is 0 to 360° and physical measurements of the housing are 30 mm x 50 mm. These encoders are ideal for harsh environments with ingress protection to IP 67 and stainless steel housing and shaft are available.

Vert-X 51 Series is designed to operate with shock up to 50 g and vibration to 20 g as well as axial and radial shaft loads to 45 N.

Operating and storage temperature range is -40 to +125 °C. Life is over 200 million movements and mean time to failure is up to 668 years - depending on model.

Eight output options are available including 0.1 to 10 V, 0.5 to 4.5 V, 4 to 20 mA, , SPI, CANopen/GL certified, PWM, and SPI. Versions with 5V or 24 V supplies as well as redundant outputs are available.

Vert-X 51 Series is available with up to two TTL switch outputs and some versions are programmable with CW/CCW sense of rotation, start and end points, custom characteristic curve, switches and index point.

Ideal for marine propulsion, off-highway and other applications requiring certifications, the Vert-X 51 CANopen version is certified by four authorities including the American Bureau of Shipping.

FAULHABER MICROMO - Impressive accuracy through the latest chip technology

With the launch of the IEP3, FAULHABER expands its product line with an incremental encoder which, thanks to the latest chip technology, achieves a very high resolution and accuracy. With a diameter of just 8 mm, the IEP3 is very lightweight and compact yet still offers a resolution of up to 10,000 lines per revolution - made possible by the latest chip technology with high interpolation. In the standard version, the resolution is freely programmable from 1 - 4,096 lines per revolution. Moreover, the chip technology that is used ensures a high positional accuracy of typically 0.3 °m as well as a high repeatability of typically 0.05 °m thanks to accuracy compensation.
