The business model of LuxAI is developing and constructing so-called social robots. Such robots can be used, for example, in the educational or health system, where they would support trainers and therapists in their work. The robots can be programmed to practice vocabulary with children or to make rehabilitation exercises with stroke patients.

A novel approach to going small could miniaturize entire circuit boards of chips into single modular chips that combine the best of commercial and DoD circuit designs and technology
Robotic welding systems have been widely used in large scale automated manufacturing facilities, particularly in the automotive industry, for a number of years.
The robotics revolution is upon us. It has long been the topic of sci-fi thrillers, but now it has arrived, it looks very different to the way we envisioned it. Mechanical men don't march among us, in fact robots are mainly used in industry and they have only just been permitted to operate outside a robot cell. Graham Mackrell, managing director of precision gearing expert Harmonic Drive UK explores what a robotic future really looks like.
• Festo exhibits a benchtop Cartesian robot with innovative microfluidic dosing head and other active demonstrations and static displays of clinical automation. • Festo customer Rheonix, Inc. presents a one-stop solution for molecular diagnostic assays. This solution is the centerpiece of research into identifying cases of Zika infection. • Festo AquaJellies - bionic jellyfish - also at AACC. (Festo Booth #3939)

5D ROBOTICS ACQUIRES UWB TECHNOLOGY LEADER TIME DOMAIN TO ACCELERATE INNOVATION IN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE NAVIGATION
Time Domain is the leading provider of small, low-power UWB ranging radio and radar sensors which measure distance with an accuracy of 2 centimeters, send data, and detect objects, people and obstacles. 5D has partnered with Time Domain since 2012, adapting the latter's PulsON® ranging radios into precision autonomous navigation and positioning solutions for a wide variety of air and ground vehicles.
The Infinity Series enables OEMs to move light payloads in smooth and accurate arc-shaped and full 360-degree rotary motion profiles. Ultra-thin arc-shaped motor segments can be used individually or interconnected to create exact partial arc segment motion or full 360-degree rotary motion. Modular construction allows for virtually unlimited diameter and large through holes. This level of flexibility is not possible with conventional motor designs.

The 6-axis version of the R17HS high speed variant of the R17 robot is now available. As is our policy the 6th axis is an optional bolt-on module. At the same time we have made it even faster and new software eliminates shake and greatly improves repeatability as this video shows. Please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wG0MeiJ-yE. The video would seem to imply a repeatability of 0.01mm but we are sticking with 0.2mm in the spec. The motor specialist was able to tune the motors from the other side of the pond. My first reaction when we put power on and entered the first commands was to jump back in amazement (and maybe an expletive). Tip speed is now 3m/s; that's 3 times as fast as its nearest competitor yet costs half the price. I love it when a plan comes together.
