This new induction heating equipment is designed to perform a variety of heat-treating processes such as hardening, quenching, tempering, and normalizing, for a wide range of part sizes and weights. UltraFlex is a leading manufacturer of digitally controlled induction heating tools and this new line of induction equipment will further stabilize their leading position on the market for induction hardening and induction heating solutions.

SmartScanâ„¢ is a modular vertical scanning system that may have a dual or single spindle. The parts may be loaded/unloaded into the system in a manual or automated manner and induction treatment processes like hardening, quenching, tempering, etc are then performed. The induction scanner can deliver from 50 to 200kW and from 6 to 200kHz into the heat-treated part, ensuring that any hardening depth and speed can be achieved for a wide range of parts sizes. The precise control of scanning and rotation speeds ensures repeatability and consistent results every time.

SmartScanâ„¢ comes with manual and automated programmed settings, with numerous pre-programed recipes as well as with a user-friendly touch panel interface loaded with process monitoring and diagnostics features. Thanks to the quick connect coil system, induction coils can be easily replaced. Other features like integrated water-to-water cooling unit, quenching system with filtration and a remote, industry 4.0-ready diagnostic module are also available.
