Your company will be exhibiting at Automate, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

Automate has many educational sessions, forums & Demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?
No, but many of our manufacturer partners will be there, including Siemens, Banner Engineering, Phoenix Contact and Schneider Electric, to name a few.
When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see? Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending?
This is a massive show with so much to learn and see. I definitely plan to visit the exhibit floor and check out the Humanoid Robot Pavilion. On the sessions, there is definitely something for everyone. As someone who loves thinking about the future, I am going to check out the sessions on collaborative robotics and emerging applications.
AI will of course be a huge topic. Be it automation, robotics, how are your company’s services and products utilizing AI now to improve business?
We are leveraging AI across multiple departments to save time, money and ultimately improve the customer experience. For example, in our receiving area, we’ve implemented new OCR technology, which uses automated data extraction to quickly convert text images to a machine-readable format for system entry for the manufacturer name, product name, date code, lot code, etc. Also on Mouser.com, we are improving the online experience for our customers by utilizing various AI tools to optimize part search and enhance our technical resources for our engineering customers.
Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for robotics & automation.
It’s exciting to witness this new kind of industrial revolution where humans are embracing robotics to help them work smarter. At Mouser, we are investing heavily in state-of-the-art automation in our Global Distribution Center and currently have the world’s largest installation of Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) and EuroSort machines, as well as an AutoStore, IPack machines, and other highly sophisticated machinery.
Our employees are learning how to operate this equipment and they are developing new skills. With our model of delivering small to medium size quantities, we have employees who pull and count the parts. The new automation makes their jobs easier while improving speed, accuracy and efficiency for our customers.
