Battery-Free Power for Robots in Logistic Centers and Industrial Facilities FV
CaPow Introduces Battery-Free In-Motion Power System Eliminating Charging Downtime for Robots in Logistic Centers and Industrial Facilities.
LAS VEGAS, NV/MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, 8 Dec. 2025 - Hyundai CRADLE will unveil at CES 2026 their collaboration with CaPow, solution providers of the battery-free "Power-in-Motion" energy ecosystem (Genesis) that eliminates robots' dependency on costly, hazardous, Lithium-Ion batteries and eliminates the need for charging stations.
Nissim Hofi, Open Innovation Manager at HYUNDAI CRADLE said: "At Hyundai CRADLE, we focus on testing disruptive innovations that enhance operational efficiency and productivity," "The PoC with CaPow showcased the ability of Power-in-Motion technology to eliminate downtime by delivering energy en-route, opening new possibilities for optimizing logistics operations."
CaPow highlighted the following results from the PoC:
- 100% uptime achieved, keeping Hyundai Glovis' operations running smoothly at all times.
- Measured reduction in fleet size, lowering operational costs.
- Significant warehouse space reclaimed per charger, enabling more efficient facility utilization.
"We observed measurable improvements in efficiency and uptime using CaPow's solution as compared to traditional charging systems," said Jiman Kim, senior manager at Hyundai Glovis Future Innovation & Technology Center. "This aligns with our goal of adopting innovative and practical technologies that streamline operations and reduce costs."
Genesis addresses the primary bottleneck for automation:
The challenge of providing reliable, cost-effective, and non-pollutive energy.
"This effectively ends the concept of reliance on legacy batteries," Prof. Mor?Peretz, Cofounder and CEO of CaPow, said. "Manufacturers tell us that every minute of downtime hurts their margins. Our Power-in-Motion technology is designed to erase that bottleneck."
The commercialization of the wireless Gensis power system for autonomous robotic fleets is being well received along the logistics value chain, as it is validated to cut down the size of the required robot fleet, enhance throughput and improve the ROI of automation.
Companies like Hyundai Glovis, major Global Automotive brands and Logistics Tier 1 Operators are currently deploying CaPow to deliver 100% uptime for 100% of their mobile robot fleets.
The company also recently announced a partnership with Kansas-based Manufacturing Revolution to bring in-motion energy delivery to manufacturers across the U.S. Midwest.
