Haarlem, The Netherlands - April 22, 2026 — MoviGo Robotics launches a new robot technology platform for production logistics in industries such as food, pharma, automotive and the print industry. The ‘Sharko5 Technology Platform' is developed based on the proven technology of the highly successful Sharko5 robot.

The Sharko5 Technology Platform exists of robots and fleet management and process software. The robot platform has a modular design; the front part contains the standardized technology components, the rear part is the lifting unit, easily adapted to fit any carrier. This flexible approach offers customers mobile robotics solutions that suit their various types of pallets, dollies, trolleys, carts and roll containers. Moreover, it allows for customization of the robots to fit the clients' needs.

Newly developed robots based on the new technology platform are: the Sharko5FP (Full Pallet) omnidirectional amr, built to transport europallets and US Postal pallets, the Sharko5SP (Small Pallet) omnidirectional amr for half euro pallets and the Sharko5RT (Roll Transporter), built to transport paper rolls (reels).

The Sharko5 technology platform also comprises fleet management and process software to manage a fleet with different types of robots in one single map. The software uses vision technology to identify the type of carrier and select the appropriate robot accordingly. For example: when a Euro-pallet needs to be transported, the software selects the Full Pallet (FP) robot, and for a paper roll, in print shops, the Roll Transporter (RT) robot is sent for the job.

The robotics solutions built for the Print Industry is now available as part of the HP Indigo portfolio, the robotics solutions for production logistics in other industries is available at MoviGo Robotics.
"As HP is now scaling MoviGo Robotics' Print Industry solutions worldwide, having a standardized technology platform will allow for customized solutions at our clients, as well as simplify implementation, service and support", says Diego Diaz, Global Product Manager Autonomous Press and Robotics at HP Indigo.

"We are dedicated to deliver a complete solution for production logistics. The Sharko5 Technology Platform allows us to customize the actual robot part of our solution at no additional costs. This allows us to offer customer specific solutions, for a production environment that doesn't always use standardized carriers.", says Paul van der Hulst, CEO of MoviGo Robotics.

About MoviGo Robotics
Based in The Netherlands, MoviGo Robotics develops, supplies and implements Autonomous Mobile Robot solutions for the print industry and production logistics in other industries. We develop robots and software that work next to people in the same space or completely independently in unmanned spaces. The solution optimizes print production and production logistics processes. The print production mobile solutions are part of the portfolio of HP Indigo. For more information: https://movigorobotics.com/.
