PDS Adds Seth Rimmer as Electromechanical Engineer

Rimmer is a recent graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He brings a strong academic foundation and practical, hands-on experience gained through LeeBoy, a heavy equipment manufacturer, in its Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team.

Bessemer City, NC - Precision Drive Systems (PDS) is pleased to announce the hiring of Seth Rimmer to its engineering team as an Electromechanical Engineer. In this role, Rimmer will report to long-time PDS Engineering Manager Kenny Wilson and support the company's continued commitment to innovation and technical excellence.


Rimmer is a recent graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He brings a strong academic foundation and practical, hands-on experience gained through LeeBoy, a heavy equipment manufacturer, in its Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team.

During his time at North Carolina State University, Rimmer gained extensive experience drafting and interpreting technical blueprints and CAD documents using industry-standard software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Fusion 360. His coursework included Principles of Electrical Engineering, Strength of Mechanical Components, Fundamentals of Vibrations, Thermodynamics I & II, Steam & Gas Turbines, Controls Lab, and Entrepreneurship Engineering Design.

In his new role at PDS, Rimmer will apply his electromechanical expertise to support engineering projects, enhance product development, and drive process improvements across the organization.
