CEO statements on machine vision global market on YouTube

The VISION CEO Round Table with statements from high-ranking market players in Europe, USA and Asia is now available online

The VISION CEO Round Table, which took place on 4 February 2014 in Frankfurt and was organised together with the VDMA Machine Vision Group, met with a huge media response. The focus of the discussion was on the varying level of importance of machine vision in the global markets of Europe, USA and Asia. Well-known industry representatives from all three continents were asked ahead of the event to examine the market situation for machine vision in their respective countries using video messages and assess the further development of this key technology.


The European representatives were Donato Montanari, Machine Vision Business Unit General Manager, Datalogic Automation, Italy and Mark Williamson, Director, Corporate Market Development, STEMMER IMAGING, UK.

Jeff Burnstein, President, Association for Advancing Automation (A3) and President, Automated Imaging Association (AIA); Mike Cyros, CCO, Allied Vision Technologies and Greg Hollows, Director of Machine Vision Solutions, Edmund Optics, spoke about the USA.

And Eric Chen, Oversea Marketing Supervisor, OPT Machine Vision Tech, China; Isabel Yang, Founder and General Manager of Luster Light Tech, China, and Shaorong Yang, Deputy General Manager China Daheng Group,Inc., represented Asia.

Beijing Image Vision Technology Branch, China; Hersem Yang , General Manager, AZURE Photonics, China; Sachio Kiura, Sachio Kiura, Director & Secretary-General, Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA), Japan; Sungho Huh, Director of Technical Marketing, Envision, Board Member Korea Machine Vision Industrial Association (KMVIA), South Korea.

Dr. Dietmar Ley, CEO, Basler AG, Ahrensburg, Dr. Heiko Frohn, President, VITRONIC, Wiesbaden, as well as Dr. Olaf Munkelt , Chairman of the VDMA Machine Vision Group and President, MVTec Software GmbH, Munich, were also on the podium as local dialogue partners.

With the video messages a lively discussion unfolded between the podium participants and the media representatives present.
