RMGroup manufacturers and suppliers of manual & automated packaging systems will be exhibiting their innovative packaging systems at this year's PPMA Show. The PPMA Show is the largest processing and packaging machinery exhibition in the UK showcasing the very latest technologies from industrial robots and automation technology, and is held on the 30th of September to the 2nd of October at the NEC in Birmingham.
At the show RMGroup will be showcasing various machinery occupying two separate stands. Stand F45 will feature their fastest Form Fill and Seal machine the FPK88. Being launched at the PPMA show, the FPK is a Vertical Form Fill and Seal machine that incorporates the latest in FFS technology, its design allows for continuous bag production as there are no interruptions whilst dosing. The 88 also seals the bag as the film is still in motion by moving with the film whilst it seals. This combination increases throughput dramatically, making it the fastest Form Fill and Seal system in the RMGroup range with an output of 40 bags per minute.
The FPK will be in motion at the show simulating the motion of the packaging film through the Form Fill & Seal machine, demonstrating its speed and bagging capabilities.
Stand F45 will also be demonstrating the all new ABB IRB 460 palletising robot, capable of 2,190 cycles per hour, making it possibly the fastest palletising robot in the world, 15 per cent faster than its closes rival, a great commodity to any fully automated palletising system requiring high speed output. The robot will be displayed in a cell demonstrating the accuracy, speed and palletising capabilities of the ABB 460 robot integrated with RMGroup's pallet conveyors.
The stand will also be displaying a range of products and literature from the ABB range that are integratable with RMGroup's packaging systems including robot heads and grippers.
Stand K90 will be occupied by possibly the shows ‘largest' attraction RMGroup's mobile Packaging system the LTF 800, capable of an impressive 800 small bags an hour, all achieved and contained within a 45ft articulated trailer. Featuring a FPK 44 Form Fill and Seal machine with conveying to an ABB 460 palletising robot the LTF is a fully automated packaging system, all customisable for specific product specification, bag type, and throughputs.
The LFT 800 was developed to reduce the cost of transporting products to bagging plants and depots, this robust packaging system is versatile enough to cope with rugged terrain, and can be set up to bag product within an hour. The mobile lines from RMGroup are being used by quarry owners, aggregate suppliers, coal merchants, and salt suppliers in the UK, Ireland, France and Sweden.
RMGroup's mobile packaging system has been nominated for the award of ‘The Most Innovative Automation System of the Year'. Winners are to be announced on the 29th of September at The PPMA Awards hosted the night previous to the PPMA show at the NEC.
