Shawn Campion, President of Integro Technologies, was a recipient of the "Emerging Leader" award at the Charlotte Business Journal's third annual Advanced Manufacturing Awards in Concord, NC.

The Advanced Manufacturing Awards recognize innovation in manufacturing in the Charlotte region, and a panel of outside experts evaluated nominations for the awards and chose the best representatives.

Campion was recognized as an emerging leader and a remarkable innovator in advanced manufacturing and the community in which his business operates.

Mr. Campion leads a team of design engineers, applications engineers, mechanical engineers, and field engineers to solve the most complex and intricate quality control problems facing manufacturers today. Utilizing machine vision integration, experience, expertise, as well as tremendous creativity and innovation, Mr. Campion and his team have designed and developed solutions for leaders in industries such as the military, food and beverage, automotive, aerospace, consumer products, and more.

Staying true to his convictions and integrity, Mr. Campion chooses not to "rest on the laurels" of touting clients' names for publicity and recognition. Integro Technologies' client list is highly confidential, and Mr. Campion prefers that the company be known for its expertise, inventiveness, quality, and business acumen rather than relying on the use of clients' names for acclaim.

Under Mr. Campion's leadership, Integro Technologies has grown from 3 employees to 36 employees since he joined the company in 2004. Mr. Campion has also lead the international certification of Integro Technologies as an AIA Certified Integrator (Integro is 1 of only 8 in the world).

In 2011, 2012, and 2013, Integro Technologies was named a System Integrator Giant by Control Engineering Magazine. In 2013, the Charlotte Business Journal named Integro Technologies as one of their Fast 50. And in the past two years alone, Integro Technologies has seen tremendous recognition as an industry-influencer in North Carolina and beyond.

In 2013, Mr. Campion spearheaded the expansion of Integro Technologies and had a vision beyond that of just physical space. Rather than relocating Integro Technologies to an industrial park or a prebuilt factory building, Integro Technologies invested $3.5 million to build a 42,000 square-foot building, known as the Salisbury Business Center, in the heart of Downtown Salisbury, North Carolina.

The Salisbury Business Center provides office space, conference rooms, and a 76-seat capacity auditorium for local trainings, meetings, and seminars. Integro Technologies is housed within the Salisbury Business Center, and is now a cornerstone of the Downtown community. Mr. Campion's vision and Integro Technologies' investment has forever changed the landscape of Downtown Salisbury.

"It is a great honor to be recognized individually by the Charlotte Business Journal, but everything we do at Integro is a team effort and is a direct reflection of our staff's dedication and perseverance to solve difficult industrial problems and to participate and invest in the local community," said Campion.

All of the award recipients will be recognized in the Charlotte Business Journal on February 27, 2015 edition. For more information visit, http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/ .
