Rising Media announced a host of speakers and special events for its upcoming Frontier Tech Forum event in San Diego on December 14-15, 2016 which brings together industry-leading conferences and trade shows, Inside 3D Printing, RoboUniverse, and Virtual Reality Summit. The highlighted events include an Amazon Alexa Hackathon and series of rapid learning sessions with Paul Cutsinger of Amazon Alexa, a panel on diversity in frontier tech organized by a diversity committee made up of Adriana Vela, NanoTecNexus; Nora Touré, Sculpteo & Women in 3D Printing; and Dulce Baerga, EolianVR & Dulce DotCom, as well as keynotes from experts in the fields of 3D printing, robotics, and virtual reality.

On December 14, 2016, Amazon Echo will host a series of rapid learning sessions to educate the developer community on all things Echo. On the following day, December 15, Paul Cutsinger will lead an Amazon Echo hackathon focused on building voice-enabled technology around Alexa, the virtual personal assistant that powers the Amazon Echo.
There are a limited number of seats available for the Alexa Hackathon. To reserve your spot, visit frontiertechforum.com.
December 15, Adriana Vela of NanoTecNexus will chair a panel discussion of diversity in frontier tech. This interactive panel session, which is titled by the question it explores, "Should diversity be a priority for the technology sector?" will discuss and debate the impact diversity and multiculturalism plays on business success and its bottom line. Panelists will be challenged to take a critical look at both sides of the coin when it comes to prioritization, investment, and implementation of inclusion programs.
"The opportunity to dissect differing, and even opposing, viewpoints on the subject of diversity is a refreshing approach which Ive not seen done at any other conference. Adding the means for audience participation takes it up yet another notch and this is exciting," said Vela.
Throughout the two days of the Frontier Tech Forum conference and expo will be keynote talks from leaders in 3D printing, robotics, and virtual reality, covering the unique challenges and opportunities of these fields. Keynote speakers include professors from top universities, the Executive R&D Imagineer of Walt Disney Imagineering, the head of Amazon Alexa, the Chief Creative Officer of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, and the vice president of Samsung Electronics.

The ERT150 - Dorner's Next Evolution of Edge Roller Technology Conveyors

The next evolution in Dorner's Edge Roller Technology conveyor platform, the ERT®150, is ideal for small and light-load assembly automation, as well as medical and medical-device assembly application. The ERT platform is the only pallet conveyor of its kind available with an ISO Standard Class 4 rating for cleanroom applications. Earning the ISO Standard 14644-1 Class 4 rating means Dorner's ERT150 will conform and not contribute to the contamination of cleanrooms to those standards. As implied by its name, the ERT150 (Edge Roller Technology) uses rollers to move pallets through the conveyor smoothly with no friction (a byproduct often seen in belt-driven platforms). The conveyor's open design eliminates concerns of small parts or screws dropping into rollers and causing conveyor damage or jamming. The ERT150 is suited to operate in cleanroom environments requiring a pallet handling conveyor. It is capable of zoning for no or low-back pressure accumulation and is ideal for automation assembly applications within industries including medical devices, electronics, consumer goods among others.
