ARxIUM's RIVA Named Top IV Robot by KLAS for Fifth Consecutive Year

Independent healthcare research firm selects fully automated IV compounding system as category leader

ARxIUM, an industry-leading developer of pharmacy automation, workflow and consulting solutions, today announced its fully automated RIVA IV compounding system has been recognized as 2018 category leader for IV robots by KLAS, an independent healthcare research firm.

The top ranking was announced in the "2018 Best in KLAS: Software and Services" report and marks the fifth consecutive time RIVA was rated top IV robot by the firm. KLAS develops its top vendor rankings by collecting data from thousands of healthcare providers through surveys and in-depth interviews.

"This significant achievement further proves that health system and hospital pharmacies view RIVA as the market leader for IV medication compounding," said Olivier Martin, ARxIUMs executive vice president of sales and marketing. "Unlike other IV compounding systems, which have limited productivity, RIVA is fully automated and provides unmatched safety and cost savings. More importantly, we are continually creating and implementing new RIVA applications to increase interoperability with other pharmacy systems."

ARxIUM recently launched several features that advance its first-to-market Pharmacy 4.0 approach and further improve medication accuracy and pharmacy workflow. RIVA now includes bi-directional interface capabilities which allow it to communicate with other pharmacy systems. Additional features include RIVAs multi-language interface and ability to produce customizable labels and barcodes on compounded sterile preparations. It can also handle multiple types of closed-system transfer devices during IV compounding and provide enhanced business intelligence with web-based analytics and reporting.

The system is engineered with multiple safety technologies and prepares IV medications in an aseptic ISO Class 5 environment with unidirectional airflow. RIVA units have been installed worldwide and have cumulatively produced millions of IV doses safely and accurately.
