Stäubli Robotics making a difference in the health/life

The worlds premier manufacturer of specialty and sensitive environment robots will showcase superior automated solutions for manufacturing.

DUNCAN, S.C. (Oct. 5, 2018) - Stäubli will participate in the 2018 PDA Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes and Injection Devices Conference Oct. 8-9, 2018 at the Loews Royal Pacific in Orlando, FL. The conference will host experts in the latest scientific breakthroughs, new technologies, human factors/usability, and global market trends with exhibitions illustrating the most innovative services and solutions to support the development and manufacturing of pre-filled syringes and injection devices.

Speed, precision, safety, low particle emissions, easy-to-clean surfaces, and maximum availability—these are the key production requirements in the health/life sciences sector. With our fast, high-precision robots, Stäubli is a preferred choice for industrial players in this sector, including pharmaceutical and medical production companies, biotech firms, research labs, and even hospitals. Stäublis wide range of 6-axis, picker and SCARA robots, can tackle virtually any challenge.

Staubli Robotics has made advancements in science and technologies are changing the way we study diseases, develop drugs and supply treatments. As a robot manufacturer, we have developed dedicated solutions for your industry combining performance, safety and compatibility with aseptic environments (Grade A and H2O2 compatibility).

Drug manufacturing processes could be improving their processes with Staubli robots such as:

• Tub lids removal
• Tub sterilization
• Vials, syringes filling lines
• Vials capping
• Syringes De-nesting and Re-nesting
• Tray loading previous or after Lyophilization
• Inspection of Vials or Syringes (seals, particulate matter)
• Packaging (flex picking with vision system)

The attached success story will give you an example of our capabilities in aseptic environment production.

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
