Focus industrial cameras conveniently from the distance
Board-level cameras with liquid lenses and "Active Focus"
USB 3.1 Gen 1 board-level cameras from the uEye LE family from IDS are available as variants with the use and control of liquid lens lenses. The cameras focus in milliseconds on different object distances - for millions of cycles, wear-free and without moving parts. This makes them particularly suitable for applications where the working distance changes frequently.
Currently, uEye LE AF ("Active Focus") board-level cameras with the 6.4 MP IMX178 rolling shutter color or mono sensor from Sony or the 18.1 MP AR1820HS rolling shutter color sensor from ON Semiconductor are available. Models with IMX265 (3.17 MP Global Shutter), IMX290 (2.12 MP Rolling Shutter) and the ON Semiconductor PYTHON 480 (0.49 MP Global Shutter) are planned.
The models are equipped with S-Mount or CS-/C-Mount, a twist-proof USB Type-C connector and a 10-pin I/O SMD connector for GPIO, trigger and flash. At the same time they enable IDS-typical "Plug and Play". USB Power Delivery enables variable power to be supplied for peripheral devices at the I/O port.
The board-level cameras are used, for example, in logistics systems (e.g. for parcel receipt and sorting), for tasks in the fields of microscopy and traffic monitoring or for installation in small medical or industrial devices.

About IDS:
IDS Inc. was founded in 2007 as a subsidiary of IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH. The industrial camera manufacturer IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH develops high-performance, easy-to-use USB, GigE and 3D cameras with a wide spectrum of sensors and variants. The almost unlimited range of applications covers multiple non-industrial and industrial sectors in the field of equipment, plant and mechanical engineering. In addition to the successful CMOS cameras, the company expands its portfolio with vision app-based sensors and cameras. The novel image processing platform IDS NXT is freely programmable and extremely versatile.
Since its foundation in 1997 as a two-man company, IDS has developed into an independent, ISO-certified family business with more than 250 employees. The headquarters in Obersulm, Germany, is both a development and production site. With branches in the USA, Japan, South Korea and UK as well as other offices, IDS is represented internationally.

US Digital's New L2 Low Profile Motor Encoder
The L2 incremental encoder uses US Digital's proven EM1 optical encoder module and disk, which has billions of device-hours of dependable service in customer applications. This product continues US Digital's strong reputation for reliable, field-tested encoders. The L2 is US Digital's lowest height encoder that uses the EM1 module. It has a 0.75 in. bolt-spacing mount. The maximum resolution is 1250 CPR (5000 PPR with quadrature). The L2 comes with a single-ended output. Another benefit of the L2 incremental encoder is its fast installation. The cover snaps onto the base to secure the module. It is designed for use with a high-retention connector or cable (sold separately). Like all US Digital products, the L2 is designed and manufactured in Vancouver, Washington, USA. It is backed by prompt access to our technical and customer service teams with same-day shipping on most orders.
