Diligent Robotics Selected for the Inaugural Physical AI Fellowship Powered by AWS, NVIDIA, and MassRobotics

The Fellowship accelerates startups building intelligent systems that operate in the physical world, providing deep technical and go-to-market guidance, compute and hardware resources, and access to a global robotics network.

Diligent Robotics today announced it has been selected for the inaugural cohort of the Physical AI Fellowship, a first-of-its-kind program from Amazon Web Services (AWS), NVIDIA, and MassRobotics. The Fellowship accelerates startups building intelligent systems that operate in the physical world, providing deep technical and go-to-market guidance, compute and hardware resources, and access to a global robotics network.

This opportunity will support the expansion of Diligent Robotics' deployed fleet of mobile manipulation robots and its efforts to continue developing powerful foundation models for autonomous humanoid robots in dynamic, human-facing environments. With access to AWS cloud credits and experts, NVIDIA's hardware and software stack, and MassRobotics' testbed and ecosystem, Diligent Robotics will further scale and refine the intelligence layer powering its flagship robot, Moxi. These improvements will bolster Diligent's efforts to deliver a foundational AI model for the next generation of collaborative humanoid robots to transform the future of work.

"AI-native robotics will define the next generation of automation," said Rashed Haq, Chief Technology Officer of Diligent Robotics. "This Fellowship offers our team access to world-class compute, cutting-edge tools, and leading technical teams building the robotics ecosystem. This support will accelerate development of the new robotic capabilities we are developing."

Each Fellow will receive $200,000 in AWS credits, embedded support from the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center (GenAIIC) scientists and engineers, access to NVIDIA platforms like Isaac and Cosmos (plus Deep Learning Institute credits and hardware/software discounts), and ecosystem support from MassRobotics. The Fellowship culminates in high-visibility showcases at AWS, NVIDIA, and MassRobotics events, including re:Invent 2025.

About Diligent Robotics

Founded in 2017, Diligent Robotics is an Austin-based AI company that creates socially-intelligent, AI-native mobile manipulation robots to drive workflow efficiency. Diligent's first robot assistant, Moxi, operates in 25+ hospitals across the U.S. to help nurses with routine tasks (such as delivering meds and lab samples) to free them up for patient care and prevent burnout. Moxi has already saved hospital staff nearly 600K hours and completed over 1 million tasks successfully.

Founded by social robotics experts Andrea Thomaz and Vivian Chu, Diligent Robotics is proud to be at the forefront of creating robots that incorporate mobile manipulation, social intelligence and human-guided learning capabilities. We believe that if we can give people the resources that they need to do the work they care most about, we will transform the meaning of "work." www.diligentrobots.com.

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
