Precision Drive Systems Hires New Controller
Bell succeeds the company’s previous controller, Rich Stipanovic, who is retiring after nearly a decade of unparalleled service to PDS, their customers, and partners.
BESSEMER CITY, NC— Precision Drive Systems (PDS), a global provider of precision motor spindles and expert engineering support and repair services near Charlotte, announced the hiring of Matthew Bell as its new controller. Bell succeeds the company's previous controller, Rich Stipanovic, who is retiring after nearly a decade of unparalleled service to PDS, their customers, and partners.
"Throughout his career, Matthew has demonstrated an impressive ability to deliver insightful financial analysis, streamlined processes, and cost accounting initiatives that drove demonstrable growth across diverse manufacturing and industrial environments," said Robert Turk, President of PDS. Bell will report to the company's president and manage all aspects of enterprise financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and oversight of internal control policies and procedures.
Before joining PDS, Bell served as plant controller at BW Fiberglass, Enviva, SmallHD, and Magneti Marelli, and as head of finance and operations at AirSys Cooling Technology. At Robert Half Salaried Professionals, he held contract roles as senior cost accountant at Advanced Ceramic Coatings and as costing manager at United Technologies Corporation (Kidde). Earlier in his career, Bell advanced through multiple leadership roles at Osram Sylvania Automotive Lighting, including manager of financial analysis, supervisor of accounting services, and the executive staff accountant on the SAP implementation team.
