Circle Logistics’ Intelligent Bots and Live-Tracking Drive Company Growth

Busy new year results from Circle's use of Transport Pro's backend rate engine platform smart robots and TMS that provides increased shipper visibility

Leading asset-based full-service logistics company, Circle Logistics (Circle), attributes its team of industry-professional staff, customer service and tech stack for 2022 growth, which is progressing into 2023.

Last year Circle successfully used its Spot Quote system and multiple AI-enabled bots to monitor non-API boards and bid in real-time using the rate engine. This automation, in addition to Circle's use of auto-arrive and auto-depart dispatch geofence notifications to live-track more than 90% of all loads booked, resulted in greater end-to-end visibility, therefore increasing Circle's business opportunities.

Sales pivoting and remaining in-tune with customers' needs are the reasons Circle attributes to increased business when many businesses are experiencing declines. Confirmed as one of the fastest-growing private third-party logistics (3PLs) companies in the U.S. as a 2022 Armstrong & Associates' Top 100 Domestic Transportation Management 3PL honoree, a great portion of Circle's more than 300% growth over the past two years is attributed to the company's increase in the ability to provide end-to-end visibility through live-tracking.

"Partnership with Transport Pro to provide enhanced visibility for 90% of our freight is so beneficial to our customers because everyone involved in the shipping process saves time without calling or emailing to get delivery statuses," said Eric Fortmeyer, president and CEO, Circle Logistics. "Because we pride ourselves on being an extension of our customers' teams, our ability to provide real-time live-tracking is another example of our dedication to providing a stellar customer experience that includes safeguarding freight from theft and other risks."

The ability for customers to track shipments from origin through the final delivery using more automation creates more efficient carrier management processes, including more accurate on-time pickup and delivery performance tracking.

The ERT150 - Dorner's Next Evolution of Edge Roller Technology Conveyors

The next evolution in Dorner's Edge Roller Technology conveyor platform, the ERT®150, is ideal for small and light-load assembly automation, as well as medical and medical-device assembly application. The ERT platform is the only pallet conveyor of its kind available with an ISO Standard Class 4 rating for cleanroom applications. Earning the ISO Standard 14644-1 Class 4 rating means Dorner's ERT150 will conform and not contribute to the contamination of cleanrooms to those standards. As implied by its name, the ERT150 (Edge Roller Technology) uses rollers to move pallets through the conveyor smoothly with no friction (a byproduct often seen in belt-driven platforms). The conveyor's open design eliminates concerns of small parts or screws dropping into rollers and causing conveyor damage or jamming. The ERT150 is suited to operate in cleanroom environments requiring a pallet handling conveyor. It is capable of zoning for no or low-back pressure accumulation and is ideal for automation assembly applications within industries including medical devices, electronics, consumer goods among others.
