MMP RELEASES NEW 24V DC PLANETARY GEARMOTOR FOR ROBOTICS & AUTOMATION APPLICATONS

This is to announce our latest Product Innovation, the Model MMP D33-455D-24V GP81-029 DC Gearmotor. The fully reversible Gearmotor operates with a 24V DC Input, while consuming just 14 A of current. Adding to its versatility, the unit is designed with a rear shaft extension, and threaded mounting holes for an integrally mounted optical encoder. This unique design features a High Efficiency Planetary Gearing, High Output Power to size & weight ratio, Low Speed and Low Noise, in a Compact, Lightweight (Just 11 Pounds!) 24 Volt DC Gearmotor. Please find attached the Press Release, Technical Specification Sheet, and a Photograph of this exciting new "Built in the USA" product. Typical uses for this "Compact, Lightweight" 24 Volt DC Gearmotor would include Mobility & Accessibility Equipment, Autonomous/Robotic Vehicles, UGV's, UUV's, Alternative Energy Equipment, including Solar Tracking, Linear Actuators, Automotive Accessories, Material Handling Equipment, Moving Target Equipment, Rotating Signage, and battery powered Electric Utility Vehicles of all kinds. This unit is able to develop its full continuous output torque of 136 In Lbs. at 140 RPM, while consuming 28.6 Amps of current. That translates to a long life battery charge, quiet operation, and lower cost drive electronics, to mention just a few of the many benefits available to the user..

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NEW 24 VOLT, PLANETARY DC GEARMOTOR

"Compact & Lightweight yet Powerful Unit provides benefits for Mobility Equipment, Robotics & Automation Applications"

16 Nov 2012: "IP-54" Sealed, High Power, 24 Vdc Gearmotor Develops 136 Lb. In. Torque at 138 RPM

Midwest Motion Products of Watertown, Minnesota, is pleased to announce the release of a new DC Gear- Motor, Model # MMP-D33-455D-24V GP81-029 - Accepting any 24 Volt DC source, including battery power, this robust Gear Motor measures just 3.2" (max) Diameter, by 9.25" long and has a keyed output shaft of 19mm diameter by 40mm long. Easy mounting is accomplished with 4 "face mount" M6 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 65mm Dia. B.C. or an optional NEMA34 Flange, is also available.
The output of this fully reversible gearmotor is rated for 136 IN-LBS continuous torque, at 138 RPM, and 1062 IN-LBS (120 Nm) Peak Torque. Despite its compact size, and weight of approximately 11 pounds, it's an efficient design, requiring just 14 Amps at 24 Volts DC to generate its Full-Load Torque. This translates into long battery charge, very LOW-NOISE operation, and lower cost drive electronics. Motor windings for 12v, 18v, 28v, 36v, 42v, 48v, 60v & 90 Volts are available.

• This versatile design can accommodate our Standard Failsafe Brakes, and/or Optical Encoders.
• "Power On" brake designs also available.
• This unique design is rated at an "IP 54" protection level for operation in harsh environments.
• Variable Speed can be accomplished with our fully compatible Speed Controls.

Samples are available FROM STOCK MATERIALS for rapid prototyping needs. Contact our Sales Offices for immediate prototype Shipments. BUILT IN USA!

Typical options available from the company include:
• Servo Motors with integral Optical Encoders
• Failsafe Brakes, Power-On Brakes, Analog Tachometers
• Planetary Gearheads, with standard ratios ranging from 3:1 to 2653:1, and standard or low backlash precision gearing available.
• Motor Winding Options include 18V, 24V, 28V, 36V, 42V, 48V, 60V and 90 Volts DC.

MMP offers a variety of standard ancillary equipment including DC power supplies, DC Servomotors, PWM Servo Amplifiers, Motor Speed Controls, Linear Actuators and a wide variety of DC gear-motors.
Custom Motor Shaft and mounting configurations are also available, with volume orders.

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
