Automation Industry Leaders to Gather in Orlando, February 20-22, 2013

"Each year it grows and has now become the automation industry's most important networking event."

(Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - January 31, 2013) - More than 375 automation industry leaders from around the world will gather for the annual Robotics Industry Forum, AIA Business Conference and MCA Business Conference slated for February 20-22, 2013 at the Orlando World Marriott Center in Orlando, Florida, USA.

"We're looking forward to another great conference," said Jeff Burnstein, President of A3, the umbrella group for Robotic Industries Association (RIA), AIA - Advancing Vision + Imaging and Motion Control Association (MCA). "Each year it grows and has now become the automation industry's most important networking event."

Event highlights will include a keynote speech by Dr. Michio Kaku on the future of technology; presentations on where the global economy is headed and other business trends that impact automation companies; breakout sessions on topics such as emerging technology trends and issues faced by the automation industry; and networking parties designed to help attendees make new business contacts in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

"This conference is always our most highly-rated annual event because the attendees learn so much, meet so many new people, and have so much fun in just a day and half that they consider it a 'must-attend' to jump-start their year," Burnstein said. "Co-locating the conferences together allows industry executives to network with their peers in the closely related industries. Since these technologies work so closely together, having the events together opens up an enormous range of networking options for everyone in attendance," he added.

The ERT150 - Dorner's Next Evolution of Edge Roller Technology Conveyors

The next evolution in Dorner's Edge Roller Technology conveyor platform, the ERT®150, is ideal for small and light-load assembly automation, as well as medical and medical-device assembly application. The ERT platform is the only pallet conveyor of its kind available with an ISO Standard Class 4 rating for cleanroom applications. Earning the ISO Standard 14644-1 Class 4 rating means Dorner's ERT150 will conform and not contribute to the contamination of cleanrooms to those standards. As implied by its name, the ERT150 (Edge Roller Technology) uses rollers to move pallets through the conveyor smoothly with no friction (a byproduct often seen in belt-driven platforms). The conveyor's open design eliminates concerns of small parts or screws dropping into rollers and causing conveyor damage or jamming. The ERT150 is suited to operate in cleanroom environments requiring a pallet handling conveyor. It is capable of zoning for no or low-back pressure accumulation and is ideal for automation assembly applications within industries including medical devices, electronics, consumer goods among others.
