LSR Expands Capabilities with New 5-meter EMC Chamber and Product Design Prototyping Laboratory

The 5-meter EMC testing chamber provides additional testing capabilities and throughput for LSR, which has been conducting EMC testing and certification services since 1996.

CEDARBURG, Wis., May 27, 2014 -- LS Research, a global leader in wireless product development, announces it has completed a 5,500 square foot expansion to its corporate facility in Cedarburg, WI. The expansion is highlighted by a state-of-the-art 5-meter EMC testing chamber, as well as an all-new product design prototyping laboratory.

The 5-meter EMC testing chamber provides additional testing capabilities and throughput for LSR, which has been conducting EMC testing and certification services since 1996. The new chamber, which is listed with both the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and Industry Canada (IC), features an isolated control room with the latest technologies in test equipment, designed to improve the testing experience and effectiveness for the customer. The chamber's size and layout will also enable the testing of larger products that often times cannot be effectively tested in smaller chambers.

Long known as a strong partner in the technical design of wireless capabilities, customers are now partnering with LSR for the entire product concept and design process. With the new prototyping lab, customers will benefit from the speed of on-site rapid prototyping, casting, and CNC machined parts. Staffed by a team of passionate and experienced designers, LSR's product design services encompasses Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, and Prototyping disciplines.

"Our continued growth as a company is made possible through the success of our valued customers," said Bill Steinike, President of LS Research, LLC. "Our investment in the areas of EMC certification and testing, as well as our product design lab, ensures we will offer even higher levels of value, expertise, and capabilities to our customers moving forward."

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
