2018 shines the spotlight on innovation for the www.traceparts.com CAD content library

Higher key performance indicators confirm how scores of engineers and designers are flocking to the site to download CAD models of industrial parts

Saint-Romain, France, February 5, 2019 - In December 2017, TraceParts launched a new CAD content platform with the aim of ultimately replacing its previous tracepartsonline.net library. More than a year after the platform went live, the time has come to review the results.

In 2018, the entire TraceParts Publishing Network broke a new record with four million unique visitors and 96 million page views. By continually improving the functionality on its platform, TraceParts has gone on to become a key source of 3D content for all professional designers, who use the site to download millions of CAD models of industrial parts.

New technical features were added to the platform throughout 2018, including a lighter 3D viewer and an ultra-high performance search engine delivering fast and accurate results. Designers can now use a multi-criteria filtering system to fine-tune their CAD model searches according to such criteria as the type of parts, suppliers, standards, dimensions and specifications.

In addition to its improved technical features, the site has been given a new design to reflect the same style as the largest e-shops and thereby enhance the user experience.

As part of its determination to continually guarantee user satisfaction, TraceParts has launched a survey among more than 45,000 engineers and designers to find out what they think of the new platform, and the results confirm that all the changes have paid dividends:

84% of respondents are ready to recommend the platform to friends or family
82% are satisfied with the process for downloading CAD models
72% are satisfied with the relevance of the search results
72% are satisfied with the new presentation of the product pages
Check out the other results in the e-book entitled "Interactions between designers and parts suppliers".
