IDS enters 2026 with strong momentum

Clear growth targets and a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty

IDS Imaging Development Systems is heading into 2026 with a clear mission: to make industrial image processing even simpler for its users. The camera manufacturer from southern Germany continues to focus on consistent innovation, maximum reliability, and close customer relationships. A visible expression of this commitment is the new three-year manufacturer's warranty, which gives IDS customers a unique added value and greater planning certainty. Combined with strong delivery capabilities and a solid technology roadmap, the company is further strengthening its market position.

Clear growth targets for 2026
With a double-digit increase in incoming orders compared to the previous year - both domestically and internationally - the company is aiming for sales growth of more than 10 per cent in 2026. Key growth sectors include logistics, medical technology, and agriculture. This positive development is underscored by a major milestone in the company's history: the delivery of the two-millionth IDS camera at the end of 2025.

Technological outlook: new developments in monitoring, AI and 3D vision
The planned product roadmap continues the chosen innovation course: In the new segment of uEye Live monitoring cameras, additional models with and without AI will follow, while expanded software features will further enhance the user experience. A standout highlight in the uEye 3D portfolio is the upcoming Nion ToF camera. Equipped with an advanced 1.2-megapixel time-of-flight sensor, it delivers high-resolution 3D depth data in real time. The camera operates reliably under artificial indoor lighting as well as direct sunlight outdoors.

IDS is also well positioned in terms of delivery capability. "We have systematically optimized our delivery structures over the past three years. This includes significantly expanded inventory and additional, alternative sourcing options for key components," emphasizes Managing Director Alexander Lewinsky.

Service initiative: 36-month manufacturer's warranty & digital offers
IDS is strengthening its standing as a reliable partner: Since 1 January, the company has been the only industrial camera manufacturer to offer a voluntary three-year manufacturer's warranty on all IDS-branded camera series. Business customers benefit from increased planning security, long-term investment protection, and streamlined processes - from repairs and replacement devices to purchase price refunds. At the same time, IDS is consistently expanding its digital services. The aim is to simplify product selection and purchasing while offering a true (online) shopping experience. The IDS webstore will also become available in many additional European countries.

First IDS Computer Vision Day sends a strong signal
One of the highlights of the past year was the first IDS Computer Vision Day, which received overwhelmingly positive feedback. "The success of our first Computer Vision Day, held at our headquarters in Obersulm, clearly demonstrated that we are on the right track, both technologically and strategically," says Jan Hartmann, Managing Partner. The event reaffirmed IDS's role as a key player in industrial image processing and at the same time showcased the breadth of the IDS ecosystem at the heart of one of Europe's most dynamic AI regions. "Our network of research institutions, universities, start-ups and industry partners enables us to identify new technologies at an early stage and quickly transform them into market-ready solutions," adds Sigrid Rögner, Head of Business Innovation & Ecosystem.

With this strong foundation, IDS enters a year that promises new growth opportunities and significant technological progress.
