PPT Vision adds two specialty cameras

PPT Vision announced two GigE-compatible specialty cameras including the 8-megapixel and 3-CCD models as well as the release of Version 10.3 of the Impact Software Suite to support all cameras in its M-Series embedded machine vision system.

PPT Vision announced two GigE-compatible specialty cameras including the 8-megapixel and 3-CCD models as well as the release of Version 10.3 of the Impact Software Suite to support all cameras in its M-Series embedded machine vision system.


The 8-megapixel, 4/3" progressive scan camera, with 3296 x 2472 pixel resolution and 10 frames per second (fps), is ideal for inspections that require a high-resolution, superior quality image and a wide field of view. The camera's rugged, industrial-grade architecture will withstand the rigors of manufacturing settings while delivering exceptional resolution and quality.

The 3CCD color camera has a prism-block assembly that supports three 1/1.8" CCDs to provide 1620 x 1236 pixel resolution, 15 fps and superior light gathering. With its high image quality and color fidelity, the 3CCD camera is designed for a wide range of color inspections within the printing, electronics and general manufacturing industries.

PPT's Impact 10.3 Software offers a number of key enhancements including an "auto-trigger" mode to automatically trigger a camera based on a user-defined time period as well as new drag-and-drop and angle tools. This latest version supports the new specialty cameras, as well as the full M-Series embedded vision system family, with added functionality and user control.
