ASI announces S7 SeriesFiber Optic Sensors

Automation Systems Interconnect (ASI) releases S7 series fiber optic sensors for applications requiring high accuracy sensing combined with very compact dimensions.

Automation Systems Interconnect (ASI) releases S7 series fiber optic sensors for applications requiring high accuracy sensing combined with very compact dimensions.

For high operating distances, the S7 series has 10 bit resolution models with 500 µs response. For High speed, the series has 12 bit resolution models with 50 µs response and 4 digit display. The S7 series also offers cost-effective models with a multiturn mechanical trimmer adjustment. Installing and setting this sensor is made to be fast and easy, due to the ultra-thin housing with CLEARLOCK and the EASYtouch adjustment system. The S7 has a mechanical protection of IP50 and IP65.

Data sheets, technical specifications and all pricing and availability can be found on the ASI website.

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
