San Diego, CA March 07, 2012

The 2012 Ground Robotics Capabilities Conference and Exhibition, with co-sponsorship from the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and the Joint Ground Robotics Enterprise (JGRE), will present and examine the vision as set out in the Department of Defense's "Ground Robotics Vision" report.

The Department of Defense recently published its Ground Robotics Vision of establishing an integrated manned/unmanned force that strengthens the United States as the world's preeminent land power. With this in mind, NDIA and JGRE, have put together a conference that will feature distinguished speakers and panels of subject matter experts to engage in point-counterpoint debates to answer the question of "what will it take to achieve the vision?"

Notable speakers include, but are not limited to:

*Honorable Jacques S. Gansler, former Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics; Professor and Roger C. Lipitz Chair, School of Public Policy, University of Maryland

Denso Robotics - Newest 6-axis VMB Series offers longer arm reach and higher load capacity

The new VMB series represent some of the newest members to our 6-axis family of robots. These high-performance, versatile units offer a longer arm reach and a higher load capacity than traditional models which make VMB an excellent solution for palletizing, packaging, and material handling. New features include greater air piping, valve and signal line options, as well as new programming options with state-of-the-art functions using our new WINCAPS Plus software. VMB offers an IP67 protection grade along with meeting ISO Class 5, which makes them suitable for electric parts, food manufacturing processes, and pharmaceutical and medical devices. With the addition of the new VMB large robots, all manufacturing processes can now be automated by DENSO Robotics.
