Adept Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADEP), a leading provider of intelligent robots and autonomous mobile solutions, announced that it will be showcasing simplified solutions for complex material handling and part feeding applications this week in Hall 5a, Booth 5X69 at the INDUSTRIE Paris 2012 show in Paris, France at the Paris Nord Villepinte. The weeklong show enables visitors to meet face-to-face with companies at the forefront of innovation in the aeronautical, automotive, energy, and medical sectors.

Adept Technology will be exhibiting an Adept Quattro™ s650 robot, the industry's fastest robot for picking applications. The Adept Quattro parallel robot is powered by ultra-compact controls and embedded amplifiers, which reduce cycle times and improve footprint efficiency. The Quattro robot is available with a 650 or 800 mm reach, as well as a version that has been accepted by the USDA for meat and poultry processing.

Adept's booth will also showcase solutions for those seeking innovative ways to feed parts within a production line. The Adept ApproFlex™ 800 is a flexible feeding cell that is truly "ready to use". The ApproFlex can locate, identify, pick, and place an object within a defined and precise position, making it an ideal solution for sorting, positioning, testing, loading, and unloading applications.

At the front of the show hall, an Adept MT400™ mobile platform will be interfacing with attendees and exhibitors as they arrive. The Adept MT400 is powered by Adept Motivity™, which allows the robot to use natural feature navigation to make its way around the crowd of attendees. Adept Motivity-based mobile robots are easily deployed in less than four steps. Users simply (1) build a map by using joystick control to drive the Adept Mobile Robot around their facility; (2) use MobilePlanner™ to annotate the map with tagged locations, driving behaviors, and do-not-go zones; and (3) set up predetermined path plans, enjoy optimized path planning, schedule activity with a calendar, add call buttons, and more.

With its 70,000 m² of exhibition area in Paris Nord Villepinte, INDUSTRIE is the opportunity to meet 1,200 exhibitors at the forefront of innovation. The synergy between the aeronautical, automotive, energy and medical sectors gives this show of production technologies the status of industrial event in 2012. As soon as they enter, the 30,000 visitors are immersed in a friendly atmosphere where business and quality are the key words.
