EH PUBLISHING AND INNOVABILITY PARTNER TO BRING ROBOBUSINESS LEADERSHIP SUMMIT TO EUROPE

The first European Edition of the Premier Business Development Event for the global Robotics Industry will take place in Genoa, April 11-12

Pittsburgh, PA - October 23, 2012 - EH Publishing and Innovability today announced an alliance to bring RoboBusiness Leadership Summit to Europe. The inaugural RoboBusiness Europe event will take place April 11-12 in Genoa, Italy, at Magazzini del Cotone - Porto Antico Conference Center.

RoboBusiness Europe builds on the hugely successful experience of eight years in the United States and will closely follow the RoboBusiness Leadership Summit format as a business focused event attended by the world's leading roboticists, business and investment professionals, along with academics, with interests in widely differing markets - rescue, healthcare, industrial and so on.

The event will feature keynote and general sessions by industry leaders, as well as an exposition floor featuring the latest robotics technologies, giving all the participants the information and connections needed to plan for, build, finance and manage a successful robotics business.

"We're extremely proud to cooperate with EH Publishing to create RoboBusiness Europe for accelerating the commercial advancement of the robotics industry," commented Gianluigi Ferri, Innovability's Chairman of the Board. "We believed in this project since the beginning and now we are ready to start a sharply focused and professional meeting point for all players. Together with our local partner, Clickutility, we gathered the interest of the Italian robotics industry and the support of the local government agencies in Genoa."

"I believe the cooperation between EH Publishing and Innovability will be the foundation for the creation of the most important event on the Robotics industry in Europe," states Richard Erb, General Manager EH Robotics Trends Media Group. "Innovability has an excellent reputation and will be successful in producing the definitive event for the region," added Mr. Erb.

Nion: Next-level time-of-flight

The new Nion 3D camera advances Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology with exceptional resolution, speed, and industrial robustness. Designed for demanding applications such as logistics, warehousing, industrial automation, and robotics, Nion delivers high-resolution depth data with real-time performance for faster, safer, and more flexible operations. At its core is the 1.2-megapixel Time-of-Flight sensor AF0130 from onsemi's Hyperlux ID family, offering up to four times the resolution of conventional VGA-based ToF cameras and significantly higher data density. Active 940-nm laser illumination ensures accurate and stable measurements in low-light conditions, artificial lighting, and even direct sunlight. With an IP67-rated housing, Nion is built for reliable operation in dusty, wet, and thermally challenging industrial environments. A user-friendly API with IDS peak support and compliance with the GigE Vision standard enable fast integration and flexible deployment in high-resolution 3D applications. The Nion 3D camera is now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems.
