Company demonstrates how AX-50 motion controller increases value, lowers component and development cost and decreases time-to-market of automation solutions

AUSTIN, Texas--Agile Planet, the easiest, fastest and most cost-effective means of developing and deploying new robot and motion control solutions, today announced the company would demonstrate the new AX-50™ Controller at PACK EXPO 2012 at booth number E6604.

AX controllers provide scalable PC-based motion/robot control that can either be fully programmed from a Rockwell PLC or be standalone machine/robot controllers. AX-50 Controllers also support 16 axes of motion. By using the AX-50 Controller, customers will reduce development cost, decrease time-to-market and greatly increase their potential customer base through no need for special programming skills and ability to interact with any PLC. The AX-50 Controller can easily be programmed in Microsoft Visual Studio or using RSLogix 5000 from Rockwell Automation. All AX controllers are EtherCAT masters and have built-in support for a variety of servo drives and IO modules.

The display will highlight robot solutions based on the AX-RLX robot controller for ControlLogix PACs from Rockwell Automation. AX-RLX is the only full featured implementation of PLC Unified Robot Control for the Rockwell Automation platform that supports all robot programming in RSLogix 5000 while allowing the use of EtherCAT servo drives.
