Intelligrated to showcase latest Alvey Robotics material handling solutions at Automate 2013

In-booth demonstration features robotic case packing, unpacking and palletizing capabilities

(CINCINNATI: Nov. 26, 2012)-Intelligrated® (www.intelligrated.com), a leading North American-based automated material handling solutions provider, will showcase its latest Alvey® Robotics case packing, unpacking, palletizing and depalletizing solutions in booth #614 at Automate 2013, January 21-24 in Chicago. In-booth demonstrations will feature two robotic arms operating on a single PLC-based control system performing case depalletizing, packing and unpacking of bottles, as well as an additional robotic arm operating on proprietary controls demonstrating case palletizing capabilities.

Intelligrated's integrated PLC platform eliminates the need for traditional proprietary robot controllers by streamlining complex control communication, reducing response time and minimizing changeover delays. By operating on industry-standard controls, Alvey robotic systems seamlessly integrate with other in-line equipment to provide reliable and flexible product handling with minimal downtime, startup time, training, programming, hardware and troubleshooting costs.

Intelligrated, an RIA-certified integrator with over 16 years of robotic material handling experience, provides single-source design, programming fabrication, installation, commissioning and after-sales customer support. Alvey Robotics from Intelligrated support a wide variety of material handling systems, including robotic arms from multiple manufacturers and custom end-of-arm tooling built to handle various product types and quick-line changeovers.

In addition to its booth displays and demonstrations, Intelligrated will discuss a palletizing application at Automate's Industrial Robot Application Success Stories conference on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 8 a.m. To register for the event, visit www.automate2013.com.

Intelligrated will also feature its latest conveyor and sortation technologies, order fulfillment systems, software and services in booth #2903 at ProMat 2013, co-located with Automate. Intelligrated's exhibit at ProMat will feature solutions that provide the accuracy, flexibility, control and speed that today's multichannel distribution and manufacturing warehouse operations require.

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
