Triangle Manufacturing is proud to be a Silver Supplier for FIRST Robotics this season. This is Triangle's fourth year supplying teams across the world with bearings, rod ends and lazy susan bearings. Triangle supplies products for the team's Kit of Parts and for FIRST Choice. FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) reaches high school students across the globe and promotes STEM education along with professionalism and teamwork. Teams will participate in 77 Regional competitions with over 2,550 other high schools. Competitions measure the effectiveness of each robot, the power of collaboration, and the determination of the students.

Team 3123, the Wildcogs, is using Triangle's miniature pillow block mounted bearings to support their drive train with one bearing for each wheel. They also used the bearings in several areas of their prototypes. Team mentor, Kevin Constable, said they especially like the lightweight plastic bearings.

Triangle's bearings are available in aluminum, brass, Delrin, nylon, oil impregnated bronze or iron, stainless steel, steel and wood. Weight will be a huge issue for this year's challenge, so plastic bearings were a great way to retain the strength and self-alignment with less weight.

Triangle's sends out wishes of encouragement and luck to all competing teams this year! They can't wait to see what next year's competition and challenge brings.

About FIRST

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is the one of four FIRST programs that help students to discover the excitement of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and the rewards a career in STEM can bring. Approximately 51,000 high-school students from 16 countries will participate in the 2013 FRC competition.
