IMT INTRODUCES COMPACT PORTABLE VIDEO TRANSMITTER AT ALEA 2013

CPTx-II Ideal For A Variety of Mobile Vehicle Operations

ORLANDO, FL, JULY 17, 2013 - Integrated Microwave Technologies, LLC (IMT), a Business Unit within the Vitec Group's Videocom Division, and a leader in advanced digital microwave systems for MAG (Military, Aerospace & Government) markets, introduces its CPTx-II, a Compact Portable Transmitter at ALEA 2013, the Airborne Law Enforcement Association's 43rd Annual Conference and Exposition (Booths 227 & 229).

The Compact Portable Tx-II (CPTx-II) is a lightweight, RF video transmitter that delivers HD/SD output at up to 8 Watts in 2k DVB-T COFDM mode. It supports video/audio/data/telemetry with selectable modulation bandwidths of 6, 7, and 8MHz. It weighs less than seven pounds and comes with a special motorcycle mount. The maneuverability of a police motorcycle coupled with video transmission capability offers significant advantages on crowded streets for surveillance, monitoring and crowd control applications. Another application for the motorcycle-mounted CPTx-II is at the scene of an accident, where the officers can provide live video for emergency response assessment and response. The mounted CPTx-II can also be used in motorcades and other special events.

"The CPTx-II was designed to offer exceptional RF performance with ease of operation in small mobile vehicles and we are excited to bring it to ALEA 2013," says IMT Divisional Chief Executive Stephen Shpock. "The CPTx-II is another example of IMT's commitment to providing world-class, state-of-the-art products to law enforcement and other government agencies."

The video from CPTx-II can be received on any MPEG-4 capable handheld receivers, receive sites or Command Centers. The CPTx-II is capable of 30 percent bit-rate reduction and video quality improvement, compared to other encoders, by using advanced features of the H.264 codec. It is also capable of AES encryption, making it ideal for public security monitoring, covert surveillance, and other secure transmission applications.

The CPTx-II features a push-button interface that allows quick control of preset selection, transmit/standby, hi/low RF power and internal color bars. For advanced functions, an easy-to-use administration software package is supplied with a GUI via RS232 to a PC. Configuration is flexible with 16 different presets available.

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
