Anaheim Automation Introduces Multi-Axis LSI Chips to Expand Current Product Line

Anaheim Automation has partnered with Japanese manufacturer Kyopal to expand current line of LSI integrated circuits. The new product line will introduce a multi-axis option for stepper or servo motor control.

Anaheim Automation has recently entered into a partnership with Kyopal, a Japanese manufacturer of LSI integrated circuits. Their partnership will introduce a line of ICs that provide multi-axis control for stepper or servo motors. Anaheim Automation has carried integrated circuits for AC, brushless, and stepper motor control, and encoder interface for several years. Until this partnership, however, these chips have only provided single axis control: http://www.anaheimautomation.com/products/ics/lsi-csi-list.php?cID=55.

These Kyopal IC chips are a definite improvement on the current IC product offering. They provide an easy means for system integration in that they are equipped with multiple features in one single chip. Each chip is equipped with the following functions: origin return, index drive, synchronous start, interrupt function, continuous pulse, sensor positioning, encoder counters, and linear interpolation. These features help to both simplify and shorten the selection process, and save system space. They are also Anaheim Automation's first LSI chip for the manufacture and design of servo motor controllers.

As an authorized supplier for Kyopal, Anaheim Automation has decided to stock these chips locally for their customers, in order to avoid any inconvenient lead times that can be found when dealing with a foreign company. They are also going to be sold via their online store to make purchasing even easier for their customers. Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
