techJoYnT Academy is Now Enrolling STEM Spring Break Robotics and Game Design Camps

techJoYnT Academy is now enrolling for STEM Spring Break camps in the fields of LEGO Robotics, 2D Game Design, Digital Graphic Arts, Character Design, and Autonomous Robotics.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma January 30, 2014


techJoYnT Academy classes will be held from March 10th-13th and from March 17th-20th, in conjunction with Oklahoma City and Edmond Public School calendars for spring break. There will be two classes per day: one from 7:30AM - 11:30AM, and another from 12:30PM - 4:30PM. "At techJOYnT, we believe that spring break is the perfect time to introduce a new subject to a student - especially something as engaging as Game Design or Robotics. We supply a wealth of knowledge during our 4-day intensive camp that keeps student's minds active and continuously learning," says Bryan Sekine, techJOYnT instructor.

Here is a brief summary of each class:

-LEGO Robotics - Students will design, build, and program their own LEGO Mindstorm robot to complete objective on a game board. Participants may also sign up and join a team for the FIRST LEGO League competition.

-2D Game Design - Students will learn how to design, animate, program, and test their own video games. Participants may also sign up and join a team for the Game Design Summit.

-Digital Graphic Arts - Students will learn the basics of graphic design, concept sketching, color theory, and illustration using Photoshop.

-Character Design - Students will learn about concept art, brainstorming, silhouettes, design principles,and illustration techniques to create their own custom character. Each character will have a color pallet, a pose sheet, and a full color render of the finished design.

-Autonomous Robotics - Students will have the rare opportunity to learn how to program a NAO robot to move, react, sense, and respond autonomously.
