Allied Vision Technologies to Exhibit at The AIA Vision Show 2014

Allied Vision Technologies will be exhibiting at The AIA Vision Show from April 15-17 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Camera models in all market segments will be showcased - beginning with the robust entry-level Mako series, to the high resolution Prosilica GT with optional EF-Mount, and concluding with the next generation Goldeye short-wave infrared (SWIR) camera for advanced imaging applications.

Next Generation Goldeye: the new benchmark for infrared imaging

The Goldeye SWIR camera is designed for advanced industrial and scientific infrared imaging applications such as semiconductor or solar cell inspection, laser profiling and more. It uses an InGaAs sensor with wavelength sensitivity between 900 and 1,700 nm. The on-board image correction and optimization functions allow for high quality images that are second to none in the industry.

The rugged hardware is designed for the tough requirements of industrial machine vision. For example, the built-in sensor cooling works without a fan and the screwed interface port allows for a secure connection. The fitting screw threads on all sides of the ultra-compact housing make the integration into an image processing system particularly easy. Its 12-pin Hirose I/O port opens many possibilities for trigger and synchronization with other system components. The new Goldeye features a GigE Vision compliant Gigabit Ethernet interface and supports Power over Ethernet, which simplifies cabling by powering the camera via the data cable.

Presentation on Non-Visible Imaging

Scott Smith, AVT's Director of Technical Services, will be giving an informative presentation about infrared imaging on Wednesday, April 16th at 10 AM. The presentation will cover an overview of infrared concepts that influence technology choices and application design, types of sensors and cameras used, and applications possible with IR imaging. This session will be part of the The Vision Conference which will provide basic and advanced training on vision.

Model TR1 Tru-Trac

Model TR1 Tru-Trac

The Model TR1 Tru-Trac® linear measurement solution is a versatile option for tracking velocity, position, or distance over a wide variety of surfaces. An integrated encoder, measuring wheel, and spring-loaded torsion arm in one, compact unit, the Model TR1 is easy to install. The spring-loaded torsion arm offers adjustable torsion load, allowing the Model TR1 to be mounted in almost any orientation - even upside-down. The threaded shaft on the pivot axis is field reversible, providing mounting access from either side. With operating speeds up to 3000 feet per minute, a wide variety of configuration options - including multiple wheel material options - and a housing made from a durable, conductive composite material that minimizes static buildup, the Model TR1 Tru-Trac® is the ideal solution for countless applications.
