Ruwac's Immersion Separator Vacuum Combats Combustible Dust from 3-D Printing

Ruwac's newly redesigned NA35 immersion separator vacuum can safely collect, contain and discharge combustible metallic dust readily found within the additive manufacturing process such as aluminum, magnesium and titanium.

With over 30 years of experience and countless installations worldwide, Ruwac USA continues to be the leading manufacturer of immersion separation vacuums with its NA35 Series. Now, it brings to you an innovative new design that takes the system to a whole new level!

The NA35 Series is the only immersion separator available on the market with a complete self-contained vacuum system. Additive manufacturing environments using explosive or impact sensitive materials that may contain an ignition source (such as aluminum, titanium or zirconium) and other volatile dusts will not only benefit from eliminating the risk of an explosion, but keeping workspaces clean in the process.

Relying on decades of proven performance technology, the NA35 Immersion Separator collects explosive or glowing media particles entering the vacuum and immediately mixes them in a turbulent liquid bath. From there, moving air and liquid are rapidly forced onto the materials, submerging and neutralizing them in the process in the vacuum's hydrophobic and oleophobic water filter system. This process stops already contained materials from finding any ignition source that may be introduced into the vacuum, guaranteeing a safe, explosion-proof work environment.

Newly redesigned features of the NA35 include a direct fill with garden hose connector to back-wash the dispersion screen and easily replace water contents. A sanitary stainless steel ball valve now acts as the primary source in releasing filtered contents - eliminating any heavy lifting required to empty the vacuum in the process -- while a discharge filter assembly attachment safely collects sludge and debris build-up from inside the vacuum into a 5 micron bag. The system's external sight glass remains in place as the go-to detector of liquid levels, but the arrival of an optional level detector sensor can now shut down or refill the unit automatically once low liquid levels are detected. Quiet, powerful operation is provided through single or three phase electric motor designs, or a single air-powered venturi. An optional fume and dust extraction swing arm can also be attached to the unit to safely collect airborne dusts, gases, smoke and particles during the vacuum process.

Ruwac is a leading manufacturer of portable, central and specialty industrial vacuum systems. Made in the USA, Ruwac's industrial vacuums are known for their reliability, innovative design and superb filtration. Universal Robots Add a Sense of Touch in New e-Series Cobots with Built-in Force/Torque Sensor and Re-Designed User Interface

With the new e-Series cobot line, Universal Robots raises the bar for cobots, adding unique new features while significantly strengthening the four core principles defining collaborative robots: fast set-up, easy programming, flexible deployment, and safe operation. With a new built-in, tool-centric Force/Torque sensor the e-Series is ready to take on applications requiring force control right out of the box. A repeatability of 30 micron means the new cobots are suitable for very precise finishing, assembly and electronics tasks. A re-designed user interface decreases cognitive load and expedites program development, while a new externally accessible, 500Hz system bus enables more complex motion control algorithms or profiles.
