Kairos Autonomi, Inc., a worldwide leader in robotic appliqué kits and developer of the Pronto4 Robotic Appliqué Kit, announced today that Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Rick Lynch will work with the company as a special advisor for military robotics programs, leadership and strategic planning.
"Lt. Gen. Lynch will provide unparalleled insight and guidance to Kairos Autonomis robotics programs," said George "Troy" Takach, president and CEO of Kairos Autonomi. "With his extensive command leadership experience, as well as a strong background in military robotics, Lt. Gen. Lynch has a compelling vision for how the military can fully implement robotic appliqué kits."
Lynch has almost 35 years of military experience, including 27 years working military applications of robotics. Having commanded at all levels, including as the commanding general for the 3rd Infantry Division in Iraq, the III Corps and at Ft. Hood and Ft. Stewart, Lynch has a deep understanding of how robotics can augment and enhance military operations.
"Kairos Autonomi has compelling robotic technology that can make a tangible difference for the military," said Lynch. "Now more than ever, the military needs robotic technology that can remove all service members from dirty, dull and dangerous tasks. If the military is not fielding robotic technology, then it is failing."
Lynch began working military applications of robotics in 1985 as the robotics project officer at the Armor Center in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Lynch graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1977, and later graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on robotics.
