Carson, CA - EPSON Robots, the global leader in Industrial SCARA Robots, announces the addition of the G and RS-Series SCARA robots to the RC700A Controller platform. As the leader in PC based robot controls, the high performance RC700A controller can now be used with EPSON C4 6-axis, G-Series SCARA, and RS-Series SCARA robots. With powerful integrated options and PC based ease of use, the RC700A helps reduce development time, improve cycle times/throughput and save customers money.
"Our customers made EPSON Robots the #1 SCARA vendor in the world based on the performance, reliability, ease of use, and wide variety of our SCARA robot lineup" stated Michael Ferrara, Director of EPSON Robots. "We just made the best robots even better. With the RC700A, customers now get access to more powerful vision guidance (EPSON CV2 Vision), the ability to select the PC performance level they need for their application (Customer Supplied PC), access to more ease of use tools (EPSON RC+), and of course the advanced motion and I/O control capabilities they have come to depend on with EPSON based controllers."
With over 200 different robot models to choose from, the RC700A can run both SCARA and 6-axis robot applications with or without a user supplied PC. Most core options run directly from the RC700A and no PC is required. This gives users the best of both worlds with the open architecture, ease of use and expandability of Microsoft Windows while also providing real time performance for time critical components such as motion, cell logic and I/O control.
As the Industry Leader in ease of use, all RC700A controllers come standard with EPSON RC+ Controls Software which includes feature wizards, point and click setup, Jog and Teach panel, Integrated Source Level Debugger, EPSON SmartSense and many other features that help reduce overall development time as compared to competitive robot systems. EPSON RC+ software and the RC700A controller offer fully integrated options including: Vision Guidance, Conveyor Tracking, Force Sensing, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, .NET connectivity, GUI Builder for user made GUIs, and much more. Shouldnt you have the controller that offers the most flexible solution - built for high performance, and made for Ease of Use from the company you know you can trust? 3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!
This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
