SMi reports: SRC Inc have recently been announced as the newest gold sponsors for the UAV Technology 2018 conference

SMi Group has recently announced SRC Inc, an independent, non-for-profit, research and development corporation, as the newest gold sponsors for the 3rd annual UAV Technology conference, taking place in Prague, Czech Republic on the 26th and 27th September 2018.

SRC Inc is dedicated to applying its extensive background in electronic warfare, air surveillance, and target detection, tracking and classification algorithms to help defend against low, slow and small unmanned aircraft system (UAS) threats.

Their anti-drone defence technology:
• Detects, tracks, classifies, identifies and engages hostile UAS threats
• Electronically disrupts individual UAS or swarms
• Complements kinetic weapon systems for layered defence
• Can be deployed in fixed-site, expeditionary or fly-away configurations

In 2017, the US Army awarded SRC Inc with a $65 million contract for Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System Technology to meet an urgent requirement to detect and defeat drones. In conjunction with this, the Pentagon has announced that this year, in 2018, the US Air Force has awarded SRC inc with a contract of $57.5 million to counter drones. The contract is the latest in a series of investments in the SRC counter-drone technology by the Army, Navy and Air Force over the past two years.

This years UAV Technology conference will see SRC Inc presenting, providing the latest updates and networking with delegates, along with the US Army. SRC Inc will also be showcasing the latest technologies and solutions in the dedicated exhibition hall of the conference venue.

Featured presentations by the US Army include:

• "Open architecture in U.S. Army UAS control systems", presented by Ms. Maggie Patton, Product Manager, Common Systems Integration, PEO AVIATION, US Army.
• "Enhancing Electronic Warfare (EW) Capabilities and Protecting against UAS within US Army Europe", presented by Captain Sean Lynch, Electronic Warfare Officer, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, US Army.

The two-day conference will not only provide attendees with a clear understanding of UAV and counter-UAV but will also provide the opportunity to be part of a community of leaders and experts that will impact the growth of these technological assets.
