KUKA to Unveil New Pre-Engineered Cell at FABTECH Canada

New offering to provide fabricators with a fast, portable solution that can be quickly integrated into existing production environments.

KUKA announced today that it will complement the wide range of metalworking and fabricating products at its FABTECH booth with a new, pre-engineered cell designed to provide end-users with a fast, portable solution that can be easily assimilated into each production setting.

What:

FABTECH Canada 2018

As Canadas premier event for the metal fabricating industry, FABTECH offers attendees a unique environment to learn about the latest trends and innovative solutions being used to address metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing challenges.

The informative, biennial showcase gathers the leading solution providers across the country to display cutting edge technologies and products that help customers optimize production and increase business.

Located at booth #855, KUKA will utilize a combination of several demos and the latest in augmented reality technology to put their entire catalog of industry leading robotic and automated solutions on display. There will also be a team of KUKAs application experts on hand to discuss which solutions can help attendees maximize production while lowering unscheduled downtime.

KUKA Robot Demonstrations:

Pre-Engineered Cell

The new KUKA arc CELL is a standard, pre-engineered system that is ready to use and adopt into the production environment. Each portable cell comes with a complete package that includes a robot, all positioners, integrated light curtains and safety software to provide a fast, secure solution that can be easily integrated into existing processes and quickly up and running.

Virtual Tour of KUKAs Robot Portfolio

For the first time ever, KUKA will bring its entire robot portfolio to FABTECH Canada. Using the latest in simulation software, conference attendees will actually be able to experience KUKAs full range of robots - from the smallest 6 kg robot on a mobile platform to the 1,300 kg KR Titan - as they tour several virtual manufacturing facilities.

KUKAs Versatile Fabrication Robots and Application Experts

KUKA offers a complete line of robots specifically designed for every fabricating application, including, but not limited to: surface cladding, plasma cutting, arc welding and TIG welding. Combining a wide range of payload capacity with a reach of up to 3.9 m, these rugged robots can access the hardest to reach welding seams with welding equipment. There will be a full team of application experts on hand to show attendees how KUKA can help optimize manufacturing processes utilizing these solutions.

ready2_educate_KORE Cart

This interactive robotic educational solution features a KR 3 robot safely functioning inside of a collaborative cell to provide students of all levels basic operational skills, fundamentals and control technology programming using real robotic hardware. Used to facilitate KUKAs KORE program in high schools, technical centers, community colleges and universities, ready2_educate_KORE CART teaches the fundamental robot basics that are utilized in across different industries.
