OCTOPUZ presents the latest welding enhancements at AUTOMATICA 2018

OCTOPUZ will be at Automatica in Munich, Germany from June 19th to 22nd. OCTOPUZ will be presenting the updates included in the latest release version of the software focused on enhancing one of the most popular applications the OCTOPUZ software is used for, welding.

From June 19th to 22nd 2018, OCTOPUZ will be exhibiting at Automatica. Taking place at Messe Munchen GmbH in Munich, Germany, Automatica is the leading exhibition for smart automation and robotics.

In the OCTOPUZ booth you will be able to see a Stäubli Robot programed with OCTOPUZ 2.0 to perform a milling application. In addition, the team will be conducting live programming demos and have on display a variety of simulations to demonstrate the range of applications and brand support. From welding to milling applications, OCTOPUZ makes complex, simple.

In conjunction with the Automatica exhibition, OCTOPUZ is excited to introduce the public release of OCTOPUZ 2.0.2!

The OCTOPUZ 2.0.2 version is focused on enhancing one of the most popular applications the OCTOPUZ software is used for, welding. One enhancement reduces the number of clicks to create a weld from 5 to 1 by leveraging the NEW Quick Weld feature, drastically increasing programming efficiency.

The addition of the Spot Welding feature expands on the OCTOPUZ welding capabilities by providing those customers performing resistance welding applications with a simplified and intuitive Offline Programing solution to help optimize robot operation times.

Continuing with the theme of delivering a best in class OLP welding solution OCTOPUZ has increased its support for Panasonic welding which has made a big splash within the OCTOPUZ customer base and industry. OCTOPUZ' full support of Panasonic Weave Welding allows the user to successfully create weave welds and program posts for Panasonic robots. With OCTOPUZ, the weld accuracy when using a Panasonic robot has also been improved by locating exact weld paths through 2-point touch sensing.

OCTOPUZ is pleased to provide you with a free one-day-ticket to Automatica. Contact OCTOPUZ to take advantage of this offer, but don't delay, there are limited passes! Register for the show and visit the OCTOPUZ booth, Hall 5 booth 509.

OCTOPUZ looks forward to seeing you there and showing you their latest updates.

The ERT150 - Dorner's Next Evolution of Edge Roller Technology Conveyors

The next evolution in Dorner's Edge Roller Technology conveyor platform, the ERT®150, is ideal for small and light-load assembly automation, as well as medical and medical-device assembly application. The ERT platform is the only pallet conveyor of its kind available with an ISO Standard Class 4 rating for cleanroom applications. Earning the ISO Standard 14644-1 Class 4 rating means Dorner's ERT150 will conform and not contribute to the contamination of cleanrooms to those standards. As implied by its name, the ERT150 (Edge Roller Technology) uses rollers to move pallets through the conveyor smoothly with no friction (a byproduct often seen in belt-driven platforms). The conveyor's open design eliminates concerns of small parts or screws dropping into rollers and causing conveyor damage or jamming. The ERT150 is suited to operate in cleanroom environments requiring a pallet handling conveyor. It is capable of zoning for no or low-back pressure accumulation and is ideal for automation assembly applications within industries including medical devices, electronics, consumer goods among others.
