DRONE VOLT unveils its solution "Artificial intelligence camera & software development tool kit"

Particularly innovative and allowing rapid large-scale deployment, this solution makes possible the fast development and execution of customized artificial intelligence applications for computer vision involving all types of vectors such as drones, automobiles, trucks, boats and tramways.

AERIALTRONICS, a DRONE VOLT subsidiary and expert in embedded artificial intelligence, has unveiled its brand new complete professional solution composed of the PENSAR intelligent camera and its accompanying SDK (Software Development Kit).

Particularly innovative and allowing rapid large-scale deployment, this solution makes possible the fast development and execution of customized artificial intelligence applications for computer vision involving all types of vectors such as drones, automobiles, trucks, boats and tramways.

This package, made up of a PENSAR camera coupled with a Software Development Kit, facilitates the creation and deployment by developers of customized artificial intelligence applications for computer vision. Development that usually takes several months can be completed in only a few days.
This solution is now highly accessible for major industrial groups, computer services companies, university research centers and digital transformation consulting firms etc.

The PENSAR camera & SDK, a complete hardware and software solution including:

Hardware
The PENSAR, a mobile camera / computer piloted by artificial intelligence that can be easily integrated into different types of vectors such as drones, automobiles, trucks boats and tramways.
The calculating capacity equals 1.5 teraflops.

A dual spectrum camera, the PENSAR includes:
• a HD camera with EO x30 zoom and infrared sensors
• a Nvidia Jetson TX2 graphics processor
SDK (Software Development Kit)
• Computer vision artificial intelligence libraries
• API (Application Interface Programming)
• Over nine neural networks with the possibility of importing other neural networks using the most widely used formats (caffe, darknet and soon tensorrt)
• Dashboard: proprietary plug-ins
• A development tool chain

Artificial intelligence for computer vision made easy for developers
With its lower development costs, greater simplicity and accessibility for developers, the PENSAR SDK solution offers many advantages. The development of applications is performed on PC using the widely used programming languages PYTHON 3 and C++ and all the tools and libraries.

Other advantages: no dependence on the Cloud (Edge Computing) thanks to the calculating capacity of the camera and no latency due to processing on a real time basis directly within the camera.

With the zoom camera and the thermal imager integrated into the PENSAR camera, the developed intelligent applications allow the automatic detection, recognition and analysis of objects, persons or animals to be monitored, with real time data analysis.

Applications
Particularly recommended for the construction, government administration, transportation, energy and security segments, the PENSAR camera offers a wide range of applications such as detection, intrusion, crowd counting, surveillance, traffic, license plate identification, facial recognition, thermal night vision, electrical power line inspection etc.

The AI market is expanding at an accelerating pace
A McKinsey Global Institute report forecasts that AI will be adopted by 70% of companies by 2030. A STATISTA study indicates that AI should generate close to 90 billion dollars in revenues by 2025 compared to only 4.8 billion dollars in 2017.

"A new era is opening up for the DRONE VOLT group with the launch of the PENSAR SDK," said Olivier Gualdoni, chairman / CEO of DRONE VOLT. "We are receiving expressions of interest from numerous industrial groups of all sizes. This is making us highly confident regarding our business in the future."

Denso Robotics - Newest 6-axis VMB Series offers longer arm reach and higher load capacity

The new VMB series represent some of the newest members to our 6-axis family of robots. These high-performance, versatile units offer a longer arm reach and a higher load capacity than traditional models which make VMB an excellent solution for palletizing, packaging, and material handling. New features include greater air piping, valve and signal line options, as well as new programming options with state-of-the-art functions using our new WINCAPS Plus software. VMB offers an IP67 protection grade along with meeting ISO Class 5, which makes them suitable for electric parts, food manufacturing processes, and pharmaceutical and medical devices. With the addition of the new VMB large robots, all manufacturing processes can now be automated by DENSO Robotics.
