AUVSI and SAE International Announce Keynote Speakers for Business of Automated Mobility Forum

From drone delivery to driverless cars, industry experts to share insights on the opportunities and challenges of automated mobility

The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and SAE International announced today the keynote speakers of its inaugural Business of Automated Mobility (BAM) Forum, taking place virtually November 5-6, 2020. The two-day digital forum is designed to help companies that are building the future of mobility create an actionable roadmap to success.

"As the automated mobility industry continues to grow at a rapid speed, this event allows attendees to connect and collaborate with mobility leaders to help them navigate and grow their business in a competitive and constantly changing market," said Frank Menchaca, chief growth officer at SAE International. "We're delighted to offer a wide range of content and keynote speakers to share how startup companies can define business objectives and plot a route to success so they can make their future of automated mobility goals a reality."

"We are thrilled to offer this new event in partnership with SAE, which will bring together thought leaders in the automated mobility field and encourage new connections, conversations, and innovation. AUVSI members are pushing the envelope in bringing automated mobility solutions to market, so we are looking forward to engaging with conference attendees in a meaningful and productive fashion via BAM," said AUVIS President and CEO Brian Wynne.

Keynote sessions will provide expert insights and guidance on critical operational activities, including access to funding, navigating insurance and liability, certification standards for both air and on-road mobility, and interpreting market forecasts.

The 2020 Business of Automated Mobility Forum keynote speakers include:

• Thursday, November 5: Adam Bry, CEO & Co-founder, Skydio - Topic: Vertical Motion
• Friday, November 6: Mark Rosekind, Ph.D., Chief Safety Innovation Officer, Zoox - Topic: Ground Vehicle Automation: The Next Chapter

Real Time Systems - ALL APPLICATIONS ON ONE HARDWARE PLATFORM

Real Time Systems - ALL APPLICATIONS ON ONE HARDWARE PLATFORM

The RTS Hypervisor enables work-load consolidation of both real-time and non-real-time operating systems on a single x86 based platform. Unlike traditional virtualization, we partition and allocate the hardware for each work-load and provide a "privileged" mode for real-time operating systems that guarantee zero impact to determinism while adding zero jitter. This is instrumental for work-loads such as robotic controllers managing motion control where minimum jitter is required. And, our hypervisor is designed for easy setup and configuration for any work-load consolidation scenario. This equates to deterministic real-time applications taking advantage of all the benefits of virtualization immediately, without costly implementation projects.
