Collaborating With ISL Products
The first step in our process will be to conduct component feasibility evaluations. The purpose of this is to ensure that ISL Products is able to provide you with a viable component solution. We want to make sure that the required component request is within our design and manufacturing capabilities without wasting any of your valuable time.

Our Digi-Key store has a selection of popular components from planetary gear motors to uv c ballasts that are in-stock and ready to ship. These are a great option early on in the development phase to help reduce lead times.

Next, we move onto the collaborative brainstorming phase. We work with your design and engineering team to fully understand what the most desirable component will be. Effective communication is critical, which is why we discuss ideas, back and forth, until everyone is satisfied. We can do this through the medium of your choice; be it emails, phone calls, or video conferences. Oftentimes, these group discussions lead to a solution that is more innovative than the initial idea.

Once a conceptual idea is agreed upon we will provide detailed component specifications, dimensions, and estimated performance along with pricing and lead time. Once approved, samples can be purchased to test in your physical prototypes. Sample quantities are typically less than 20 pieces, but we are flexible and can provide samples based on your needs.

Once your design is approved, we will "lock in" the component design and begin to finalize the next steps, like production costs and delivery details.

Continued Dedicated Support
Once the design/concept phase is completed, the initial product development consultant is typically not the one contracted to handle the mass production of the finished product. If this is the case, we are happy to transition over to your client or contracted manufacturer of choice and continue to provide them dedicated support for the life of the product.
