From Palletizing to Case Packing, Brenton Has it All in Booth S-3662 at PACK EXPO International 2024
Add Brenton to your PACK EXPO itinerary to see the engineering expertise of its new RL1000 robotic palletizer and M2000 side load case packer.
ALEXANDRIA, Minn., September 13, 2024 - Looking for a robotic palletizer that achieves rates of up to six layers per minute? Look no further than the RL1000, which will be demonstrating its palletizing capabilities in booth S-3662 at PACK EXPO International 2024, Nov. 3-6, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
RL1000 robotic palletizer
Leading off at PACK EXPO is one of Brenton's newest machines, the RL1000 robotic palletizer. A modular sortation and layer forming solution, the RL1000 robotic palletizer achieves rates of up to six layers per minute. Borrowing innovation from Brenton's MP1000, this new machine delivers a high-speed layer palletizing solution tailored to RSC, wrap around, lithographic, and display cases, as well as trays and wrapped product. The RL1000 is a modular solution, offering eight standard layouts that can be applied to a customer's application. Configurations include one or two sortation robots to meet application rates and options for sheet and dunnage handling. The RL1000 can handle up to 600 lbs., while fully supporting a layer of product from the bottom.
PACK EXPO attendees will see the RL1000 demonstrating its capabilities by picking up and setting down full layers of cases.
M2000 side load case packer
Joining the RL1000 at PACK EXPO is the M2000, which is considered Brenton's intermittent motion side load workhorse case packer because it is designed to handle both flexible and rigid packaging. The machine is engineered to be compatible with more than 80 percent of the packaged goods market, including food, personal care, pharmaceuticals, and nutraceuticals. The best applications for the M2000 are ones that are growing with steady and consistent packaging demands.
The machine can reach speeds up to 35 cases or trays per minute and handles wraparound cases, knock down cases, and regular slotted (RSC) cases. It can also load trays as a standard option. Features and benefits of the M2000 side load case packer include:
• Digital position indicators that communicate the current physical position to the HMI to provide real-time feedback to operators
• Simplified wiring requirements for streamlined installation
• Fixed height case magazine for more ergonomic case blank loading
• Easy access into the machine for cleaning and maintenance
• Brenton robotic set-up arm reducing changeover and maintenance points
At PACK EXPO, the M2000 will be showcasing its strengths by packaging cartons into cases.

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task
In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
