PACK EXPO Q&A with Brenton Engineering

Tell us about your company. 

Brenton engineers and manufactures robotic palletizers and case packers along with integrated robotic solutions in a collection of industries including food and beverage, household products, personal care, medical and pharmaceutical, rigid plastic containers, chemicals, bulk bagged product, and more.

 

Your company will be exhibiting at PACK Expo, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

We are looking forward to the face to face interaction with customers and prospects to fully understand their needs. PACK Expo is also an opportunity for Brenton to demonstrate to the industry what sets us apart.

 

What makes your booth a must visit for PACK Expo Attendees?

Brenton is showcasing our redesigned MP1000 MasterPal Bulk (de)Palletizing end of arm tool as well as our new M3000 conventional case packer.

PACK Expo has many educational sessions, forums & Demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?

Brenton’s VP of Technology, Mike Grinager, will be presenting on the Innovation Stage on Tuesday at 9:45am in partnership with Beckhoff. Mike will be showcasing our use of linear track technology in our automation.

 

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?  Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending? 

We are looking forward to seeing where the industry has come in the last year. Technology advances so quickly and it is awesome to see what everyone is showcasing!

 

The Packaging is undertaking rapid advancements, be it automation, robotics, machine vision or data.  Packaging and Material Handling is a huge part for many manufacturers business, give us an idea on how your company and product is being utilized now in advancing packaging and the supply chain. 

The labor pool has been impacted by COVID with fewer available workers and early retirements. Companies have been forced to automate more tasks within production process this.  A lot of the more complex automation has become a priority and ROIs are viewed differently than Pre-COVID. Brenton is focused utilizing more cutting-edge technologies to complement existing automation.

In the future we will see even more involvement with AI and continued push to greater automation.
